Huh. If I had to use one word to describe this it would be "muddy." A lot of stuff happens but it mostly seems inconsequential, like Lobdell is a comic book Johnny Appleseed and throws plot seeds everywhere but nothing seems to stick. Add to that a bunch of nonsensical physics and time travel and you've got confusion goo at best. The... "Judges give Superman Vol. 2... 3 and a half stars."As I've said before, I find so much of DC's "New 52" era to be bland and at a disservice to itself to ignore these characters' rich histories in an effort to appeal to a larger audience.That being said! Lobdell is a writer I really enjoy and I feel like he's always, always underrated.... I still enjoy this title but this one was muddled at best.
