You don't pick up an Indridason book for its sunny faith in humankind; these books set in Iceland are as noire as Scandinavian Noire can possibly be. It is one of the darkest mysteries I've ever encountered and the time flew by as I was reading. I couldn't put it down. Most highly recommended -- for serious mystery readers and... How timely!
