Slight and fun. If I was only rating these cozies against one another this would probably slot in fairly highly, but because they're up against the rest of my reading as well it slips back down again. There just wasn't enough there, and no one to get attached to or even really get to know. Clemence has just returned to Paris to take care of the bakery business that her parents started. Her parents our out of the country working on expanding the business. When the la gardienne is found dead in her apartment, Clemence is at the top of the list of suspects. Realizing that if she is going to be taken off the suspect list,... Can anything be better than Paris and a murder?! I fell in love with Clemence and her friends. She's worldly, delightful, witty and fun. I've always wanted to go to Paris, see the sights and eat at an outside caf watching the world go by and nibble on pastries! Can't wait to read more. The book is short and easy to finish in a weekend....
