The best full horror novel as opposed to anthologies or story collections that Ive read in a long, long, time. I know thats high praise, but its true.This book could have been edited and cut two hundred pages, taken out the horror element, and it still would have been a slightly better than average crime/ noir/ suspense novel. It was hard for me to believe that God would appear to a man as a black woman. However lots of interesting beliefs that I didn't quite agree with but lots that were good food for thought.
