More About The Blast that Tears the Skies
The third part of the series is the strongest thus far. Matthew Quinton manages to captain a ship for longer than a couple of chapters, for one, and we even get a few good naval action scenes. I'm rating the book highly for historical research and atmosphere, yet it isn't that easy or compelling a read. Set in 1665, we see London under the Plague and just prior to the Great Fire. Another Outstanding StoryThe intrigue and significant factors of the story's plot makes this book easy to read and digestion. The author writes well, using his knowledge of seventeenth century Great Britain as the basis for the plot. Well-written and part of a well thought out series, this book is a great read.
