I was hooked and, after reluctantly returning my copy to the library, I went out and bought everything I could from her. I continued my love affair with this brilliant writer until... Rated 3 of 5It is very possible that I am the only person who will read this book who has never read a single "Pern" book in the Anne McCaffreey canon. I am, of course, familiar with the books...in large part due to the awesome covers by Michael Whelan, whose art I relished... Overall, this was a good book with fun behind-the-scenes stories about each writer's interactions with Anne over the decades. Some of them really rambled on about their own stories instead of sticking to Anne related things, and that got annoying--or they were just really general and I didn't think they had much to share.
