As a woman with a taste for apocalypse stories, I went into this novel with high hopes. After the first two chapters, I knew I should stop reading but I finished anyway. What spurred me on was the potential this book had - two female protagonists who survive and flourish during a zombie apocalypse? Count me in!Unfortunately, the quality... I have never been afraid of zombies - but I am now! This book is so intense that I ended up with a cramp in my hand because I was holding on to the book so tightly.
