This is the fourth novel by Eric Van Lustbader continuing the saga of Jason Bourne begun by Robert Ludlum. While each was a good story, they really did not live up to the standard that Ludlum set. As this adventure begins, Jason is resting up in Bali with his new girlfriend, Moira. At the conclusion of the last book, Jason had defeated... This does not even come close to what I had come to expect from Lustbader's continuation of the famous Ludlum novels. It is simply a bridge from Lustbader's previous Bourne novel which I enjoyed to what I sincerely hope is a vastly improved next book. As I have so much enjoyed the first six Bourne novels I will persevere and try to... Ah. Right. Okay. A real let down. Lustbader's Bourne and Ludlum's Bourne are two seperate characters/series/etc etc in my head - it is the only possibly way that I could enjoy Lustbader's work, because no other author's attempt at Bourne could survive even the bareset, briefest comparison to Ludlow's masterpiece.
