Ok, I read this book twice! Once in high school and once last year. It is a masterpiece of French literature, admittedly!I did not like it the first time I read it, so I decided I would read it again, now that I am mature. I thought I would now have the wherewithal to "get it". Nah-ah! Un rcit douloureux, ddi la souffrance et la dignit humaine. Bien que Malraux soit absolument brillant par bribes, le mlange du politique et de l'abme de la conscience humaine a rendu la lecture particulirement difficile.On se perd dans la rvolution chinoise et les stratagmes moins ou plus judicieux. Et c'est dommage...Enfin, ce n'est... Como conhecer uma revoluo por dentro, a mente de quem a organiza, mas tambm os seus desejos, anseios e esperanas. Dando-nos um retrato sobre a revoluo comunista de xangai, malraux d-nos uma viso sangrenta de uma massa de idealistas, unidos a uns quantos operrios e camponeses que marcham sobre o domnio de uma china dominada por velhos...
