The first thing I thought when I was given this book for my birthday was: "Hmm... Will I like a book about Princesses and Pirates at this age?" The truthful answer I thought I had at that very moment was no. For that reason it sat upon my shelf for the longest time while the books around it moved and were read numerous times until I... I loved this book, the plot held my eyes riveted to the pages as this sorry group of sailors made their way through the increasingly unknown seas. There was love, there was loss. The plot deserves a handy 5 star rating, but the translation wasn't spectacular, and the plot could have been executed much better. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Wow. This is one of those books where I can't tell if I loved it or hated it....I hated the ending! Why make Orpheus, one of the main characters, die like that? Why make any of those characters die really. I still don't understand how Zeph failed his test?...
