I truly enjoyed this short but well-crafted western romance. I felt Laura's pain and then her hard won happiness. I started reading on my phone and didn't stop until I was done. Sweet short read. This is a well written historical and I enjoyed the story. Laura agrees to her controlling swindling father's plan to trick Jake in to marriage by letting him think he'd compromised her.
