OMENS is the latest publication by horror author Richard Gavin. OMENS is a haunting collection of short stories for the discriminating horror fiction enthusiast. The tales are reminiscent of the work of Robert Aickman, relying moreso on atmosphere & imagery to convey the sense of the unknown and unexplained, and also of the works of Thomas Ligotti, conveying an unsettling sense of the unimagineable.

At least to my mind, Richard Gavin is at the forefront of writers of the weird tale.Most of these stories are supernatural/occult horror, influenced by the masters in the genre. I'd read a couple of the stories Richard Gavin provides for free reading on his website and was taken with the intricate, deeply unsettling drift of Gavin's take on the weird.
