Quick read with straight forward explanations of how to hike light and fast. This is not a guidebook for your average hiker, although you could pull valuable information from it, but a guidebook for someone that wants to travel quickly and efficiently. Don't ever walk into REI and tell them straight up that you'd like some gear to go on a "quick overnighter with the boys". By the time I walked out of there I pretty much had enough gear to settle a new continent.
