I loved everything about this book, everything! So many sports books are centered on playing the sport, but I love how with this book we see both sides: both Rafael's journey to playing professional baseball, starting as a kid in the Dominican Republic, as well as two sisters in the Twin Cities, the wanna be sports journalist with her... Good - in a sweet, charming, quiet way - but not exactly wow-me great. When thinking about the tween audience this book is aiming to capture, I fear it slightly missed the mark. There's not a lot of action, or exciting events, or heroics in this character driven, dual narrative story. Today's tweens generally don't have the patience...
