As an owner of the classic DVD, impatient for more details and stories involving the making of this movie, this book is a nice supplement. I love behind the scenes stories and the DVD does not include a commentary. The author, a veteran of Polish television, had the great opportunity to meet Steven Spielberg and follow the entire production... First I'll say that this is not a book for a casual fan of the movie. It assumes a great deal of knowledge about the Holocaust, European history, and Schindler himself. The footnotes added by the translators that attempt to ameliorate that for the most part (in my opinion), fail by being too simplified or offering snippets out of context.There...
