Bennett's Hawkman is a new and improved model; the fights (and there are lots and lots of them) are well constructed and flow; and the layouts surprise in more good ways than bad.The story is the downfall of the book. While better than volume one by a huge margin, Liefeld's story is like a time warp to early... I wanted to love it I really did. Then, I wanted to like it and I did until I got to DeFalco's stories. The dialogue was poor throughout but the plot was okay. Until I got to DeFalco's stories. I think Tom was stuck in late 70's early 80's writing mode. Also, why the change in origin from one writer to the next? Liefeld's plot was decent...
