I enjoyed this vol more than the first, though I believe a lot of that was due to my having not yet let go of my existing expectations for the characters when reading the previous volume. But I was fully in a "what if" mindset for this one, and it makes all the difference. OK I've waited for a long while to get this...NetGalley hosed me, and said no. So then the library waiting list beckoned...and thankfully, there's no crusty boogers or Catwoman pages stuck together...This follows up on the very enjoyable ...mmmumbling geoff johns grumbly begrudging admission of decent book written...Earth One Vol. 1.Anne... Wow. Just wow.Like I said on my review of Volume 1, the way Batman: Earth One's story seems different, but at the core, is very similar to the original Batman story we all know. Batman always had a darker undertone to his stories, and it's one of the things that drawn me to this read more of him. I like humor, but I'm always fascinated...
